Does the KMS service only count non-virtual machines running Server 2008
towards the initial 5?
I am trying to roll out 08 Std and am running into problems with getting my
count # to go up. I think I have narrowed it down to actual servers vs
virtual machines. I have done 7 upgrades with 3 being actual and that is the
number the KMS Server is showing as its current count: 3. I figured that it
would be 7 by now, but its not. I didn't see it anywhere that says
specifically that the count is only on real servers...

KMS Question ... I have just set up a KMS service instance on Server 2008. ... have is can this instance activate both Vista clients and Server 2008 ... clients or do I need one KMS service for Vista and another for Server 2008. ... (microsoft.public.windows.server.general)
