Joe,
- Local Settings, including the Outlook folder, are not included in the
roaming profile so are not the problem
- 1.5GB for the rest of the profile is still a sizable profile to
synchonise. 5MB is good!
- Try moving data out of the profile by using Redirected Folders.
- Make sure the DNS server settings on the clients are good: no ISP servers,
just the DC's
Hope that helps,
Anthony

I am using Win Server 2003 and WinXP SP 2 in a very small domain. There is
one server and three workstations. All updates are current.
When I have roaming profiles active, it takes more than five minutes for
to
log on and off. When inactive, the process takes about 15 seconds.
An examination of my profile on the client machine shows that the profile
is about 3G in size. Half of that is an Outlook .pst file.
Why does the log on/off process take so long and what can I do to speed it
up?
