Hi,
I'm running Windows Server 2003 SP1.
When using NTBackup to backup the System State I get the following message
in the backup log:
Backup Status
Operation: Backup
Active backup destination: File
Media name: "Testrun"
Volume shadow copy creation: Attempt 1.
Timeout before function completed
Error returned while creating the volume shadow copy:0xffffffff.
Error returned while creating the volume shadow copy:ffffffff
Aborting Backup.
----------------------
The operation did not successfully complete.
----------------------
Shadow Copy is enabled on the server and sufficient disk space is available.
When trying to list the vss sriter using vssadmin, there not a single one
displayed, the command just keeps jumping back to the prompt.
I followd Mircrosoft's advise to re-register the DLLs relevant to the VSS,
but without success.
Could anybosy give me a hint on how to proceed with troubleshooting ?
Thank you very much in advance.
Regards
Tobias
