I am not sure if I am in the right group. If not, please point me to
the correct group and accept my apology for the intrusion.

I am getting a report from WindowsServer2003 that there are some 90
.spl and .shd files not backing up. I would like to delete these
files, but am getting a message that they are in use and cannot be
deleted.

Having search the internet, I do know that they are printer shadow and
spooler files, but that is about all the info I could gather.

Could someone please help me find the info on how to delete these? -
or do they get deleted automatically after a certain time period? I do
notice on my report that the number of these files does change.

Thanks from a raw newbie for any help you can give.

If you know of any links that will help me get comfortable with the
basics of WinServer2003, pleae pass them on.

Thanks again
Joanne
