I assume that the licences you have are CALs. They allow up
to x workstations to make a connection to shares that exist
on this old server. Since you intend to use it as a workstation,
they become irrelevant.
I doubt that you can deploy the CALs on a different server.
Why not give MS a ring and ask them?

Thanks, anything we can do with the old licenses?

We just bought 2 huge ( well I thin they are huge) servers with W2k3 +
Terminal Services and a Server with SBS 2003 and Exchange 2003.
Question,
Can our outdated older Server, with W2k3 and 5 licenses be networked
with
the new domain, and turned into a usable workstation. Or must it be
reprogrammed with something like XP Pro?
Is there ting we can do with the old 5 W2K3 licenses onboard, or do
they
just sit there?
We'd like to make it just a networked workstation..
Thanks..in advance.
Mark
Yes, it can.
