We can still print to every printer but this one. Once we restart the print
service, any print jobs for this Genicom will take off and work fine. I'm
not sure if it can go in to standby or power save mode or not. That's
something I'd have to check. It only happens occasionally, not every day.

Hello,
while this one doesn't work, you can print still print to others without
restarting the spooler ?
Can this printer go to standby mode or any power saving mode ?

Hi,
I have a Windows 2003 domain and we have a Genicom 5000 printer that
ocassionally will not print until we restart the print service on the
server. After that, it prints fine for awhile. This happens about once
a week. It's the only printer on our network that does it. The firmware
is up-to-date on it and it is using a Generic driver because it is a line
printer. Any ideas as to what could be causing this?
Thanks.
Matt
