Re: error when delting file from win2k server

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Thankyou Coraleigh that worked a treat.

I've never came across that before, would you happen to know what the cause
was?

Hi Andrew,

Map a drive to the parent folder and then browse to the file via the map
drive and try to delete it.

Hello all,

I have a file on a Win2k server that looks to have a very long file name
and be buried under a lagre amount of subfolder.

When I try to delete it nothing happens, when I try to view it's
properties I get the message:

"the properties for this item are not available"

So, I'm unable to move/rename/delete the file, any ideas?
