Makes no difference if it is a DC or a member server. If the upgrade is
supported, it's supported if it is a member or a DC.

I have a DC that is currently running 2003 standard OS. I want to
upgrade it to Enterprise. All other DCs are running 2003 enterprise.
I would think I could simply do an os upgrade without disrupting AD.
Can I just run the os upgrade or do I have do DCpromo to remove it
from AD, upgrade os, and DCpromo it back?
thank you

Dan,
thanks for the reply but my concern is upgrading a domain
controller...... I realize I can upgrade from standard to enterprise
on a member server just want to make sure of the AD domain controller
part.
thanks
