255 characters for subdirectories
Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance
Hello,
I noticed with subfolders, if you exceeded a certain length you couldn't
copy them to other folders.
e.g. shared\main clients\sales projects\year 2006 sales projects\.....
Now I know my clients should be more succinct when naming folders but I
don't sit over their shoulders all day watching them create subfolders.
Is there a way to do anything about the limitations? If I do relax the
limitations will I have problems with the workstations?
Thanks
PS our workstations are all XP and our servers are all 2003.
