chkdsk /f replacing security ids with default ones (lots of them)

I had errors trying to do an acronis backup of our D partition raid 5
array.. it was stating the drive may contain errors.. so I ran chkdsk/
f..
Its reporting:
"replacing invalid security id with default security id for file xxxx"
over and over..
It then says fixing mirror copy of the security descriptors data
stream.
Chkdsk discovered free space marked as allocated in the master file
table (MFT) bitmap.. etc
Is this type of security error normal.. I find it hard to believe
there could be anything wrong with a fairly new and stable raid5
array.
Thanks
.
