The root of the drives are shared as "administrative" shares. i.e. C$ and
D$. You share folders under the root.

I have 2 drive on my Server 2003 machine. When I first set things up
I shared D: which was to contain user data. I have encountered
problems with permissions where I can't prevent users from browsing
folders without using Deny which I don't want to do. I guess I'm
still struggling with the concept of "sharing" (ex-Netware guy).
Did I need to share D: in first place?
Could I simply share only the folders in D: that I want users to be
able to browse instead of the entire drive?
Are unshared folders accessible to users if they know the UNC path and
have permission?
TIA
