Windows 2003 Server repeatedly fails

Good afternoon all,

I have attempting a clean install of Windows 2003 Server (tried 64
bit, R2, 2003 standard and 2003 enterprise) all to no avail. I am
curious if anyone has seen something similar to this.

Specifications;

Intel Pentium D925
-Asus P5P800 SE (have also tried swapping mobo to a Gigabyte
81865GME-775-RH to no avail)
-4 @512 MB Kingston memory (have also tried using OCZ4001024ELDCPE-K
memory, very solid stuff)
-2 WD360 Raptor Drives
-Highpoing RocketRAID 1520 (have also tried using the standard sata
connectors on the mobo)
-Lite-On DVD-R/W (have also tried standard Cd-Rom and standard read-
only DVD-Rom)
-Standard Case
-Nice cooling equipment

I am essentially configuring this as a Terminal Server to replace the
one that blew up on me.

Now to cut to the skinny; installation

Pretty plain jane: RAID 1 on the Highpoint (but like I said, have
tried using a standrad mobo sata connector). Install from CD, throw
in the new highpoint driver (yes, have tried the out of box one that
comes with the OS).

Everything runs fine until I get to the GUI portion of the install (ya
know, where it starts out telling you have 39 minutes left); there is
a pause of about 10 seconds and then I get the fatal error on the GUI
that says this;

Error:

The D:\I386\NT5INF.CAT catalog file could not be found. The error
code is d. This is a fatal error.

The data is invalid.

Fatal Error:

Setup failed to install the product catalogs. This is a fatal error.
The setup log files should contain more information.

Here is what the setup log reports (see below). I have using
different media, different memory, different storage configs,
different media (CD-DVD) format and readers, pretty much everything
under the sun. Been working with server systems for (what feels like)
about a zillion years, am a MCSE (not that does anything), etc., etc.

Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated. I have seen this
error with corrupted media under windows XP pro, but never anything as
drastic as this. The media installs just fine on other systems, btw.
