Im taking a windows server 2003 couse.
I'm folllowing the instrucitons in MCSE guide to managing a MS WIN
Server 2003 Environment enahanced.
Chapter 7 has us set up a DFS files system.
Everything works fine, accept for the fact that I cannot write files
in the dfs.
I set up a root folder called dfsroot then add some shared folders
from C drive and D, and E. on the windows 2003 sever.
However when I go to "\\myserver\dfsroot\dfstest" "over the network"
to a test folder I cannot write to it. Despite the fact that I am
administrator. I have tried putting shared folders on C,E, and F.
However when I go to the dfstest folder and right click and say New to
create a new text file it says.
Unable to create file
" Unable to create the file 'New Text Document' ,
Access denied "
Im administrator and permisisons look good.
I can create dfs roots and folders but how am I suppose to use them.
What am I missing?
Regards
.
