Hmm I never used exclusions, but have you tried mapping network drives
instead of using the UNC paths? The mapped drive may work better.

There is no error. The backup files simply contain the excluded
files.

What is the error the backup job is giving?

I used to be able to do this with Windows 2000's NT backup, but it
isn't working on the Windows 2003 version of NTBackup.
Even when I set the directory paths to back up and match it with the
same path for the file exclusions, it still doesn't work.
Examples:
Backup:
\\server\share\
Exclude File Type:
\\server\share\*.mp3
It will still back up the *.mp3s. I've also tried:
Backup:
\\server\d$\share\
Exclude File Type:
\\server\d$\share\*.mp3
Am I doing something wrong? the \\server\d$\share\*.mp3 worked on
2000. The other way may have worked as well. Is this a bug? Is this
a new limitation for NTBackup?
