NOTE: I have no experience with 2k, I use 2k3, so I am only guessing here!
Probably Explorer is stupid enough not to display the Shutdown/Restart
options on a Terminal session?
Try to find a command line tool or anothr program that can restart a 2k
computer and see if it works.
