Its a big question. There are many products. For versatility have a look at

We are looking for a monitoring solution that will allow us to get
specific information on our server environment (100+ servers and
growing)
Basically, we want to be able to monitor things in real time (maybe a
console or something that can output information to "screens" for a
NOC to look at and see if any issues are happening).
We want to be able to monitor and track things like:
CPU usage
memory usage
Disk usage (if we are getting low on space, send out a warning)
IP/NIC information
Manufacture of server (Dell, HP for example)
Ability to grab service tags from servers (For Dell example).
We would like this to be scalable and customizable to so we can track
and monitor our servers.
Does anyone have a suggestion?
Microsoft System Center is new, but I have no knowledge of it.
The other one I have seen is HP OpenView, but no experience there
either.
ANyone have suggestions?
Thanks,
JW
