Dear lcrow,
I found that there are a lot of problems related to eventid 1030, I don't
know which one suits your domain
Please check this link and see if it can help you in any way.
http://www.eventid.net/display.asp?eventid=1030&eventno=1542&source=Userenv&phase=1
Please let us know how did it go
Best regards.

In this case, the server IS the client. Please look at my initial post
again. The 1030 errors coincide exactly with user MYSERVER$ logging off
of
MYSERVER. Since MYSERVER$ is a system account, I don't see how SMB
applies.

Dear lcrow,
SMB stand for "Server Message Block" which is an authentication protocol
that digitally signs the communication between the server and the client
to
prevent attacks such as "man-in-the-middle"
What the article is saying is that your server SMB settings might be
different from the settings of the client, that's why you are getting the
error.
Your error falls under scenarios 1 & 2 in the article, just check the
settings in the Group Policy.
Best regards.

I don't really think this applies, or at least I'm not sure how it
would.
First, the server is not a domain controller, and second, it's not
giving
the
accompanying 1058 errors.
