Thanks for the reply,
I rebooted and logged in as a different domain admin account, however I
still get this message:
c:\documents and settings\administrator\ntuser.dat - The
cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.
c:\documents and settings\administrator\ntuser.dat.LOG -
cess cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.
how can I free up this directory from these processes so I can delete the
directory? Like I said, I did reboot and am signed in another domain admin.

Windows 2003 Server, Windows 2003 network. I have the local administratornot
account and the domain admin account as profiles on the server.
My problem is the domain admin profile is corrupt or something becuase it
will not save any settings and won't switch to classic theme. When you
try
to switch to the classic theme you get an error message "The Theme could
load". Also, it won't do certain things like run Exchange System manageris
("System cannot find the file specified") or some other MCC snap ins.
If I log in as the local admin or another domain admin account everything
fine and runs correctly. I figured I would try to delete the domain
admin
profile but the DELETE button is grayed out. I understand why the local
administrator profile would be grayed out for DELETE, but why the domain
admin account?
Any ideas on how I can repair this profile or better yet just delete the
profile and create a new one? Liek I said it will not let me delete it
through the user profiles page so is there some registry setting I need
to
set to delete it or a way I can manually delete the profile and start
new?
Thanks
joe
- Reboot the server
- Log in under a different admin account
- Delete the profile folder from a Command Prompt:
rd /s /q "c:\documents and settings\administrator"
.
