Is there a way to cause Windows operating systems to restart/reboot at a
designated time? Can it be done using the operating system itself or is
an
additional application required?
Task Scheduler to run a batch file with "Shutdown" in it.
If the latter, what are some good
applications for this purpose? The operating systems that I would like to
do
this with are Windows 2000, Windows 2000 Server, Windows Server 2003 and
Windows XP. Thank you.
Why do you want this?
Most people who are trying to shutdown servers regularly are messing
up.
And for hotfixes and such from automatic updates that is part of the
settings for those.
