On the PDC Emulator so the above is correct if you only have one DC.

What if we have a secondary DC.

You would just have "another DC". There is no "secondary" (nor "backup")
DC with AD -- you just have a set of co-equal DCs; for most purposes
they are interchangable.

All the other DCs of a domain pull time from the PDC Emulator (as I
indicated
in the previous mesage):

Just get the time correct on the PDC Emulator and the other DCs will
copy from it (and other PDC Emulators from their parent also).

Non-DCs get time from the AUTHENTICATING DC.

-few more questions to make it crystal clear...:)

1. ok so here is the current setup in our network, we have 2 DC a main and a
secondary. so if i set the correct time in our main server it will get its
time using its CMOS? and the time will be populated to the secondary DC and
all computers connected to the domain?
2. what is the difference between NTP and Nt5DS, and do you have to setup 1
of these in your DC?
