DNS not updating w2k3

Hi All

I have a w2k3 server sp1 with around 20 xp pro sp2 clients. All the clients
point to the server for dns. The problem I have is that they don't seem to
be registering when booted up and logged in. In total only 4 add their names
and addresses to dns and the rest don't. They all seem to be setup with the
correct box ticked in the pc's dns setting yet all seem to be able to surf
ok

Can anyone point me in the right direction
