Re: Windows Server 2003 R2 Logs all users off

Hhmm.. could the Raid driver(s)/hardware failed out a drive? better take your arrays temperature just in case. long shot, but y'know, better to be sure..

Further to this - the system seems to have reversed its C: and D: drives - how would that happen ? How do I put them back ?

It has a dual RAID system - current volumes are:

Volume Type Format Label Size Free Free
C: Fixed NTFS BuildData 57.63 GB 55.27 GB 95.9%
D: Fixed NTFS 16.85 GB 8.61 GB 51.1%
E: CD-ROM 0.0%
F: Fixed 0.0%

Our server has gone into a mode where it comes up OK but automatically logs-off any user logging at the console or via terminal services - seems to start the log-in process but then immediately logs-off the user.

Drive sharing still works OK.

This started happening after a user logged on as administrator and clicked "Ok on a dialog box" (no more details avail) which warned about a device driver. After clicking OK, the system immediately shut down (gracefully - though without further warning) and our problems started.

Device driver problem could be due to a mistaken Nero installation a couple of days ago. Server has a CD/DVD reader not a writer - it is possible wrong device drivers were loaded.

Server is our Team FOundation Server - so VIP to us. Any help much appreciated.
