Re: Cannot copy <filename>: Insufficient system resources exist

Hello Pete,

In 2000 was also this kind of problem:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/259837

Maybe the CAUSE and MORE INFORMATION part helps.

Best regards

Hi All

I have a problem I have recently implemented a HPDL380 G5 Storage
Server running windows 2003 Storage server, the problem I am now
getting is when I try to copy large files to this box I get the
following error:

Cannot copy <filename>: Insufficient system resources exist to
complete the requested service.

The server has 2 x 2.67 GHz dual core processors
3.25 GB Memory
and presently not doing much at all apart from a few home directories.
This message only appears when copying large files in-between
partitions or from other machines.

I have monitored the kernel memory and the physical memory but this
does not seem to be effected as one of the tech articles pointed
towards paged memory usage.

Any help will be very gratefully received as there are no event logs
for this and I have searched the web with very little success

Thank you in advance

Pete
