Does anyone know of a shareware ultility or other resource that one can
use to print out a report of the permissions on a set of folders on a
windows server 2003 file server. We have some complex folder hierarchies
and we need to review the permissions people have to the various folders
and subfolders so we need to generate a readable report as to who has
exactly what access to which folders in order to review that with
managers. Anyway know of an easy way to do that?
Built-in: cacls.exe
Support tools: xcacls.exe (better)
Free sourceforge.net: SetAcl.exe
But don't expect this to be (necessarily) usefully readable.
