Don't do it that way (please).
Set the Internal PDC Emualtor to sync from external time server; your
non-DC server is fine and it can sync from a master clock on the Internet
etc.
Then all of your internal machines will sync automatically. DCs from the
PDC Emulator, non-DCs from their DC.
I have enabled the NTP server on our time server so that it can
accept NTP requests. I have 2 questions.
1. Must the network time server be a DC (Windows 2003 domain)?
No, but the COMPUTERS use that already so leave them alone.
2. How do I get my workstation to sync with the time server?
Don't. Let is sync from the DC it uses.
The DC will sync from the PDC Emulator (DC).
THAT DC (PDC Emulator) is the one you want to get set as the
time master (internally.)
