We have two win2003 machines in my office, one is the PDC, with IIS and.
ftp servers running, the other is a newly built web server, they are
both experiencing this problem.
Between 10 and 20 days of uptime, the machines will hang and become
unresponsive, and will not output video, accept no input, and not
respond to pings. As I've been monitoring the machines i can not see
any process that has an apparent memory leak, or one that uses more
processor time. These machines are up to date with patches and SP1.
Has anyone run into a similar problem and can suggest a fix? Or does
anyone have any suggestions for deciphering the problem these machines
are experiencing?
They are running on commodity hardware, so a hardware issue is
possible, however, both machines are experiencing similar, if not the
same, problems.
