I could post some of the event logs, but nothing in them indicate
there was any problems with getting into the policies,
I came across this error because I had the following error "security
policies where propagated with warning. 0x534 No mapping between
account names and security ID was done"
which I've found that a old user account was deletes but not removed
from the group policy. And when I went to go to go into the policy to
correct that error thats when I get the original error

Hello,
I'm having an odd problem when I try to open up either the Domain
Controller Security Policy or Domain Security Policy. I get the
following error
Failed to open the Group Policy Object. You not have appropriate
rights.
Details Box:
The specified domain either does not exist or could not be
contacted.
This is the only server in the domain, not sure whats going on, I
had
been able to access it previously.
Tim
