You could uninstall all networking components and then re-install
them. However, this might play havoc with your DNS settings
(which were all configured by the installation wizard). If you go
down this path then I strongly recommend that you perform a
System State Backup beforehand, or perhaps back up the registry
separately and save it in a safe place.

Thanks for the reply but I am afraid the network adapter is installed andnetwork
enabled. I know that the card works in another machine and Windows 2003
reports that it is working.
Thanks again.

Hi,after
I just installed Windows Server 2003 Standard with SP1 and immediately
installation I tried to setup my network connection. There is a
newcard
and there is a DHCP server on the network. Despite the fact that the
runserver is configured to obtain a TCP/IP address automatically, when I
IPCONFIG /ALL, I simply see the message "Windows IP Configuration" andbefore?
nothing else.
I have never had this with other installations. Has anyone seen this
Thanks in advance,
Aaron
This usually happens either when the network adapter is disabled,
not installed or not functioning.
