Hi Miha,

Just did the telnet test on my server via the SMTP auth, I sent the
mail A ok to the domain without any errors or problems, I cannot check
the SMTP log however right now I;ll have to check it tomorrow, but it
seems to have gone through ok..

Hi,

The domain is barbados.gov.bb.
Also, how can I telnet on to my mail server and authenticate because I
have SMTP auth turned on. I've tried sending mail from Gmail and I am
awaiting a reply from one of the domain's I.T staff to let me know if
he has recieved it.

Thanks,

Hi,

Can you tell us what the domain is? Did you try to send an e-mail using
telnet command? Did it work?

e.g.

telnet mail.domain.com 25
helo yourdomain.com
mail from:<name.lastname@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
rcpt to:<name.lastname@xxxxxxxxxx>
data
subject:this is a test message
.

Can you send mail to this domain using some other e-mail service (e.g.
Gmail)?

Hello,

I am running Windows 2003 Std Edition with the SMTP Virtual Server and
my box is working as it's own server and not relaying to any other
server.

My company is sending mail fine from it but I find on some domains that
when I try to send mail to the domains I either get back a returned
mail like this:

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

email here on 12/4/2006 10:09 AM
There was a SMTP communication problem with the recipient's
email server. Please contact your system administrator.
<scotty #5.5.0 smtp;550 Denied. H4>

When I check my SMTP Virtual Log I see this entry:

2006-12-04 11:14:56 216.185.111.115 OutboundConnectionCommand SMTPSVC1
SCOTTY - 25 RCPT - TO:<email here > 0

SCOTTY - 25 - - 550+Denied.+H4 0

This is only happening when we are trying to send mail to people on a
certain domain, can anyone lend assistance?

Kind Regards,

Ashish
