Re: Problems rejoining Nt Member server to Win2003 Domain

Right-click on the servers computer account in AD Users & Computers and
select "Reset Account" before attempting to rejoin it to the domain; you can
also try deleting the computer account outright.

It's almost certainly a SID problem, particularly if you did a restore using
GHOST which doesn't handle SIDs gracefully in many cases.

I had Windows NT server which already was a member server on a Win 2003
AD but had a disk crash. Used Norton Ghost and managed to get
everything back on to a new disk. But now the sever will not rejoin the
domain. Suspect it may be a SID issue, but looking for ideas. Can ping
ok over the network and have managed to add to a local domain (AD is a
WAN), and can browse okay, but server refuses to join.

Thanks in advance,

Johnny
