DC won't let me browse network shares

Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

Hi there,

Situation is as follows.

1x DC running Server2003
1x mailserver running Server2003+Exchange
1x server running Server2003
20x approx XP machines

Problem is that when I browse the network with my DC I can see my computers, but as soon as I double-click one I get the error message

\\workstation is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.

When I try to browse the same network using my mailserver (logon and password are the same) I can see the shared printers etc.

I compared diffent settings ie network, services etc but I don't see any differences. I can ping the workstation so that's not a problem.
When I use net view \\workstation I get the following error

System error 5 has occurred.
Access is denied.

So what it comes down to really is that two nearly identical Win2003 servers work differently. I probably has to do with the fact that one is the DC and the other isn't. But how can I solve this!?

TIA!
