Folder auditing
Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance
Hi all quick question. Im in the middle of implementing the user
network drive size auditing. However the drive that holds the users
directory also has other items so I cant set it up using windows fie
auditing because that would limit the entire volume not just the
folder. Anyways Im looking for a way to at least check the folder
size. Maybe drop a line in the login script that would check the users
share drive for a certain size limit and then at least dispaly a
message saying they are over the limit. Im looking for some sort of
dos command for checking folder size. Any ideas?
Something like
checkfoldersize \\%server%\users\%username%
that would spit out a size for me.
Any ideas? Better ideas?
Thanks - jon
