Hello,

I hope someone here can help, this is a single production 2003 PDC
server that is down, with only a backup from about 2 months ago (I thank
another team for this one). This is a 2003 server, that is
current with all updates needed.

The server lost power (apc problems, fixed now) while logged into it
working
on an app.
Now the server just loops on startup with a BSD of UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME
0X0ED. All the options in the F8 menu do nothing but, the same thing (the
endless reboot loop).

If I try to boot the server normally, it will come up with the 2003 splash
screen for about 3-5 seconds, then it just ASRs.

I have googled around looking for suggestions, and have tried to boot into
the "recovery console" and it does not even detect the install of windows.
When I am on the "C" drive, and type in "DIR" it only gives an error of
"An
error occurred during directory enumeration". If I try to run a "chkdsk"
I
get an error of "The Volume appears to contain one or more unrecoverable
problems" and it bombs out.

I've tried Fixboot and fixmbr in most cases it's damaged the partition. If
I
run "fixmbr" it fixes a 200mb FAT drive (the server has 30gb and NTFS).
The
whole funny thing (well, nothing is funny about this issue), is I can read
the disk fine and repaired the damaged partition under Vista RC2 but, not
under XP (a non-domain machine). As it works under Vista, I have done the
chkdsk full scan, a few errors but, no bad sectors or major issues.

This server is a homebrew machine, it's funny how the company can spend
about $5k on Windows software but, can not spend $1K to get a server to
handle it. Anyway, in about a month, I'll be getting a nice DL580 with
some
trimmings to work with but, for now I have this and need to make it work.

I've spent HOURS trying to find something that can even help here with
nothing with the same problem. This is day 2 of this issue and I have
looked
before posting here.

PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN !!!!!!!
