RE: How do I install & set up RADIUS?

Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

Hi, Vincent.

My C: drive doesn't have a lot of space left. That's why I wondered about
setting IAS up on D: drive which has plenty of room.

RADIUS will be used to authenticate administrators and users to the various
devices on our network.

How can I add my users? Can I use the groups in AD somehow to do this?

Is the tracking of users displayed in some log?

Thanks, Steve

As you wish.

Please understand Radius is just used to provide centralized
authentication, authorization, and accounting for dial-up, virtual private
network, and, more recently, wireless network access. However, when you
dial-in, you still need RRAS.

I have been asked to set up RADIUS on our network for authentication.
I've
read up on it, but set up just isn't clear to me yet.

It will go on the primary DC running 2003 standard server SP1, AD, DNS,
DHCP, WINS. The operating system is on C: partition. I also have a
large
unused D: partition on that server.

When I add windows component IAS do I install it on C: or D:?

We do not have RRAS or RAS installed. Do I need it too?
