I Again have question about Windows and Xeon CPUs.
If you run windows Server 32bit on Xeon 64bit 3.0 Ghz will it be
faster than run it on on Pentium 4 3.0 Ghz.
A Xeon is faster than a normal Pentium 4 of equal clock speed. Nothing to
do with 32bit or 64 bits or anything. Xeons have always performed better
for server tasks than the equivalent "normal" Pentium processor.
What advantage you can
have running the same 32 bit windows on Xeon 64 bit CPU?
None really. There are some things (such as the NX bit) that are much more
likely to be available on a 64 bit processor (regardless of how it is
being used), but there is no intrinsic advantage to running a 32bit OS on
a 64 bit chip; when you do this your processor is running as a 32 bit
processor.
