True. SIDs could be a problem if this is standalone computer. If this is
domain computer and domain users were used for NTFS permissions then there
should be no problems.

Can't you restore the server to a time before you had issues?

If rebuilding from scratch the user sids will be different. This will be
an
issue if you restore ntfs permissions as they were with the former sids.

Why are you rebuilding the server?
