There are a bunch of files in C:\WINNT\ that seem like thay might be
moveable to the D:\partition. Files like
$uninstallKB912812-IE6SP1-20060322.182418$
or $NTUNINSTALLKB913580$ or $NtUpdateRollupPack$Uninstall$
You can safely move these files to another location and you should be
fine. These files are created when you install a Service Pack or
Update. For example, when the MS06-013: Cumulative security update for
Internet Explorer was installed, it created the folder
$uninstallKB912812-IE6SP1-20060322.182418$ in your %windir% folder.
The files located here are the backup copies of files that were
modified durring the patch install and contain the information to roll
back (uninstall) the patch. You will probably not need these files,
but it is a good idea to keep them archived somewhere in case you ever
need to un-install an update. In which case, you would copy the files
back to thier original location before un-installing the patch.
