Waiting until your disks are full to the hilt is a dangerous
strategy .

You could move your system to the new disks like so:
1. Break the mirror.
2. Clone the old disk to the new disk, using an imaging
product such as Acronis TrueImage.
3. Rebuild the mirror.
Instead of using an imaging product, you could also boot
the server with a Bart PE boot CD (provided that it
recognises
SATA disks - I have never tried!), then use xcopy.exe with
the appropriate switches to copy everyhing across to the
new disk.


Will TrueImage work on Server 200?
Of course, if it does, that fixes my problems.

Yes, for $999, I am not inclined to go there (I can buy SEVERAL

Building a mirror is as easy as breaking one. If you're
reluctant to buy the Acronis product, use the free Bart
PE boot CD I suggested. It's a terrific tool anyway
and I think every system administrator should have one.



This may be better sent to the folks (Well, Bart).
I do not see how the Bart' product will make an image of my system.
Am I juust making the "system" image, and then my data etc can be
"moved"

The Bart PE CD will boot into a WinXP look-alike
environment. The cloning process is very simple:
1. Launch Windows.
2. Partition and format the new disk.
3. Make the first partition active.
4. Break the mirror.
5. Boot the machine with your Bart CD.
6. Use xcopy.exe with the appropriate switches to copy
the old disk to the new disk.
7. Remove the old disk.
8. Reboot.

Since you're not touching the old disk, this is a risk-free
operation.

that affect my image on the new machine?
I have C; and D; and want to have them, but larger sizes on the new drive.

Sorry, I don't understand the point of your question. I assume
your old disk has two partitions. You therefore make two
partitions on the new disk of whatever size, then use xcopy
to copy the information across.
