I have the same need and cannot get this to work. What do you mean
when you say:

If your company has a public Wifi, then setup a server with printer
connected to it and ask them to print to:
\\servername\printer

The only way I can get the printer added at all is to go to run and
type in \\server, which prompts me to authenticate to the domain. If I
enter a domain credentials, I can add the printer but it is
disconnected the next time I reboot. When trying to go through the Add
Printer, wizard, I can see the print server when I browse, but I cannot
open it up to see the printers.

What am I doing wrong here.
