Adding a windows 2003 server to existing 2000 domain.

Hi,
I have been reading on adding a Windows 2003 server into my existing
2000 domain, but I have a couple of questions.
Previously, a consultant installed a 2003 domain controller on our 2000
network. It was the first 2003 server that we had. So the consultant
has already been through the process of adding the 2003 server as a DC
in our 2000 domain. That left us with 1 2000 server and 1 2003 server.
We now have another new 2003 server that I want to add as a DC and I
want to eliminate the older 2000 server all together.
When I run dcpromo from the newest 2003 server which is just a member
server of the domain, it tells me I need to run adprep and such, which
I was going to do. But my question, is if the consultant we had already
installed the 2003 server on our 2000 domain, shouldn't the adprep
stuff have already been ran and our system be ready for another 2003
server?
Is there something I'm missing here? Thanks for any help.
