Dynamic Disk problems

I was backing up data off my raid 5 pc as I was about to add another
disk and re-do it when the pc rebooted itself.
Windows would not boot at all, complaining that it couldn't locate
"system" or it was corrupt. I used a boot cd and replaced the system
file with a working one (from the windows\repair folder). I also was
able to see that the raid5 set was there and required re-activating.
I got into windows no problems and went to disk mgr immediatly to check
the data, there were no dynamic disks only the normal boot hdd which is
simple/normal, windows soon prompted to install drivers for my sil3114
card, I did that and it wanted a reboot.
on reboot an error flashed up in the raid bios but to quickly for me to
read it all but it said something like ....invalid or missing object".
I got into windows and checked diskmgmt.msc there was no dynamic disks,
i used the raid tool from sil and all my raid groups were gone.
when i create raid groups in the software, the disks all come up as
unknown and require initilization.
I've pretty much stopped here, Imnot sure what to do... Im thinking I
need to make the groups in the correct order so that windows see's the
old raid 5? or is it just to late and is everything gone?
