Hi,
Simply put -- you can only raise domain functional level to Windows Server
2003 if all your domain controllers (DCs) are running Windows Server 2003.
If any of your DCs are Windows 2000 you won't be able to raise functional
level.
Also you won't be able to add Windows 2000 DC later on (after you raise
functional level).
This does not have any effect on Windows 2000 servers that are domain
members (non DCs).
I hope this helps,

I would like to raise the funtional level of my domain to windows server
2003
but i server thats a windows 2000 server that runs Citrix and its not a
DC -
will this still be able to logon to the network?
Done some quick research and i found some bits about if you raise the
forest
functional level to Windows Server 2003, domain controllers running
Windows
2000 Server cannot be added to the forest.
So does this mean just Dc's running 2000 wont be able to logon to the
domain
or all DC's?
thanks
Will
