Replication, Redundancy, Clustering (Geo-DIspersed)

Hello all,
I am trying to find a solution to a design challenge. I need to have
two local W2K3 AD and file servers (one primary and one for redundancy)
as well as one that is in a different location - connected over a VPN.
It seems the options are to cluster the three machines (using MSCS), or
use third-party software. Preliminary research has found Symantec's
Veritas Volume Replicator and EMC's RepliStor as options. I am
interested to hear if anyone else has tackled a similar issue, or any
experiences with the solutions that have been found, as well as any
that have not been found. The solution demanded Win2K3, so a Linux
LDAP server is not an option ;)
Any input is greatly appreciated.
