What about try installing in another user account? Or safe mode? Does it
help?

I tried doing so with the 3.0 version and the process does not seem to go
further in then last stage "Finishing process". It just hung there. I
think I
may get the same result with this version.

Reboot and see if this works.

I have a win2k server with sp3 and I discovered that I can't unintall or
install any software on it. The windows installer box appears and it
just
seems to stay there giving false hope that it will actually complete
its
task. Attempting to reinstall sp3 does the same thing.
Is the windows installer corrupted? How can I correct this?
