Hi there,
I think this might sound like a really dumb question to most of you,
but
here's the situation: I've set up a workstation to run the Windows Server
2003, and installed it as a Domain Controller. I then try to connect a
laptop
running windows XP to the workstation via a cross cable.

So in order for the 2 to interact i have to make them the same domain
right? (which in this case i called it testserver.com). However i can't
change the domain settings on the xp machine (via right clicking the "my
computer" icon and setting the domain to the one required). Is there
another
way to go about doing this? Im really new to server technology so would
appreciate some help, thanks!

Windows XP Home cannot join a Windows domain. You need
WinXP Professional.
