Hi Serkan,
I have the same thing but, running into the same problem. I do run a logon
script with about the same config. And it does map a X: drive (I don't know,
X sounded good when I setup the server).
When the login script and the policy runs, the my documents ends up here
\\servername\userfiles$\%username%\ <My documents and folders>
So, the root of my documents is right in the root of the share, what I need
and am looking for...
\\servername\userfiles$\%username%\My Documents\ <My documents and folders>
I am trying to get them out of the root of the share and keep work files and
documents in different areas on their share to keep it neater, and it's a
request from users...Know what I mean ?
Thanks !

Hi there,
I am using a log on script that maps "\\servername\userfiles$\%username%\"
as H: drive with Net use command and i have a policy that sets folder
redirection to H: drive by this way all the files are stored under the
username folder. I hope this will help.
Thanks

Hi all,
Still kind of new with some of this policy strangeness but, wondering if
I
can make this happen. I am looking over the Global policy over the domain
here, so not for some users, its for all of them. I used the "folder
redirection" and want it to go to a mapped drive/home drive on another
server on the network (the server is backed up, the clients are not).
When I set the policy, it will create the My Documents in the root of the
home share. So, when you go to your home share, you have all your files,
all
your documents and in a nut shell, a mess and hard to find anything. So,
it's creating My Docs in H:\<all my docs and folders> I want it in H:\My
Documents\<all my docs and folders>
What I would like, is on the home share to create a new folder say "H:\My
Documents" (\\server\userfiles$\%username%\My Documents) and place
everthing
in there. When I place that link in there, it just dumps off the user
name
and the my docs to \\server\userfiles$ .
I am testing it now and pulling the policy before activating it, I want
to
do it very soon.
Is there a way to do what I want to do here ?
thanks for any light you can provide here....
