Re: 2003 server for website development

You can host sites on any version of WinServer 2003.

You can also install Apache and use it to host your sites if you do not want
to use IIS.

I'm sure you can find people over here to hire to assist you in setting it
up. :)

Thank you for the response. I am actually trying to figure things out that
I
should have figured out before I bought the product along the lines of "is
this really what I need and want?" If I understood the salesman right I
can
use this on a privite network to host our website in developement. I just
need to know if I should be looking for third party software such as
apache
or is server 2003 a stand alone? I think I will be going down to get a
book
though becase the more I look into this the more complex it looks.

Thanks again for the help

Do you need assistance on how to setup a Windows 2003 server? If so I
would
highly recommend picking up some books at a local book store or maybe
even
hire a local IT company to install/setup your network. If it's just one
certain service or function of Server you need help with please be more
specific.

Good luck to you,
