Re: W2K3 R2 with Mountpoints and Linked folders

Linked folders are not quite supported.

Also can you double check that you applied Auto Quota on the actual
directory instead of the linked folder?

We loaded R2 on our 2-node test cluster and have been experimenting
with quotas and reports. The first issue that we have found so far is
in using the Auto Apply quota settings. I have a directory configured
that is basically a placeholder. I create a directory structure and
then mount in other folders (from a mount point) using linkd. This
gives us a "dfs-like" directory structure on the node and we then just
share the top level folder to give access.

If I setup the Auto Apply, I get an erro in the system event log:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: SRMSVC
Event Category: None
Event ID: 8197

Error-specific details:

Any ideas on the problem? Are linked folders supported with R2 Quota
management? Thanks for the responses!
