We have our Windows2003 server set up for our company just as we like
it -
works a treat.
A client (who is a company about the same size with the same
requirements)
has seen our setup and has asked us to provide him with the same setup
(albeit with a few tweaks such as the domain name and addressing scheme
etc).
We've bought a fresh copy of WS2003 for him, but it makes no sense to go
through a lengthy install and config when we can just clone our drive
using
Acronis True Image Server, put it in his machine, then make just minor
changes. Problem is the licence key - the cloned disk would have our key
in...
Is there a way to insert the client's (valid) licence key into the cloned
build, maybe via the registry? Everything legal here, no copies or
piracy,
we just want to save time and reduce risk of error.
TIA/David.
