Ok, will try uninstalling that update, if that doesn't work will do memory
swap and see if that helps. Will post results tomorrow. Thanks!

I can try but will be later. Further info: After initial post, did more
snooping. Found that these messages started appearing on 12/7/05,
immediately
after I installed 2 MS Windows updates (Nov. Malicious SW Removal Tool
and
Sec Update KB896424). I had also installed software "A" earlier that day.
It
never did work correctly, so I uninstalled on 3/19 and re-tried
installation
of network package "B". Still get BSOD, still at MDAC install, but this
time
with "IRQL less than or not equal". I noticed that there are still
registry
entries for "A", and cannot delete them; did not see any evidence that
any of
it is active, though. Don't know if this is helpful information or not.

Can you try swapping RAM and see if you are still getting this issue?

Win SBS 2K3; installing network version of application. Crashes every
time
when reaches MDAC portion of install. Get "Page fault in non-paged
area"
blue
screen. See same errors in Event Viewer/Application right before
every
crash,
but they also happen at other times. WinMgt Event ID 63 (PerfProv had
been
registered in WMI namespace..) and Perflib Event ID 2003 (config info
for
...\aspperf.dll for the "ASP" service does not match the trusted perf
libr
info stored in the registry). Vendor claims they haven't seen this
problem
on other installs, I can actually install stand-alone version on
workstation
successfully. Thanks for all suggestions.
